**About the Role**

Reporting to the Dean of Programs, as the Research Fellow you will contribute to the research efforts of UniSA STEM, and in particular will undertake research on the project titled “Development of an AI/ML-enabled space surveillance mission for hypersonic missile defense (Phase A1)” via an iLAuNCH Project Agreement project between the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), The Australian National University (ANU) and other project partners including the University of South Australia (UniSA).

**To Be Successful You Will Need**
- A PhD qualification in a relevant discipline, e.g. aerospace/computer/electrical/mechanical or mechatronic engineering
- Knowledge of machine learning, image processing and/or radiometry
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and MATLAB programming in a Windows or Linux environment, and also in documentation using LaTeX and version control using Git
- Record of independent research resulting in high-quality publications and evidence of growing citation impact
- Growing profile in research supervision and leadership
