The School of Environment and Science maintains an illustrious research position across numerous industry sectors, guiding and informing its learning and teaching.

We are currently looking for a Lecturer to be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Condensed Matter Physics in the School, which may include conducting tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, and student consultation, marking and assessment activities. The Lecturer will undertake research in areas of expertise, including publication of scholarly work and generating research funding. The successful applicant will be expected to join the Queensland Micro
- and Nanotechnology Centre and have a research focus that aligns with this Centre.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

- Foster exceptional student experiences and encourage active engagement in learning through continuous teaching practice improvement via professional development and reflection.
- Strive for continuous teaching improvement through professional development, critical reflection, and varied evaluation methods to enhance student engagement and learning.
- Contribute to the advancement of knowledge through a balanced research portfolio of high-quality outputs that demonstrated impacts, including the ability to obtain research funding.
- Build impactful community partnerships by engaging with external stakeholders and promoting educational and research activities to enhance the school's reputation.
- This is a fixed term (3 year), full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations._
- Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples._

**Salary Range**

The full time equivalent base salary will be Lecturer, Level B $108,298 - $128,608 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $126,709 - $150,471 per annum.

To be successful within this role you will have;
- A PhD in Condensed Matter Physics and will have demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in successfully teaching in this discipline at the tertiary education level.
- An ability to teach intermediate and advanced level Condensed Matter Physics is also highly desirable.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills and contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of the School and University.
