**About the opportunity**

We are seeking for a Payroll Specialist to join our Head Office Team, based in the Sydney CBD, with convenient access to public transport, including the light rail.

The Payroll Specialist is a part of the Finance team and is responsible for managing and administering Moran Health Care Group's (MHCG) payroll operations.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate end-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, systems, and databases.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and MHCG Policies, and Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
- Provide high level of customer service when addressing employee payroll queries.
- Processing new hires, transfers and terminations
- Support PAYG, Superannuation, payroll tax & payroll reporting.
- Assist with maintenance of the payroll system.
- Prepare and process termination payments, workers' compensation payments.
- Prepare and process fortnightly and monthly reports.
- Perform ad hoc payroll tasks and respond to related queries

**Skills/Requirements**:

- Qualification in Payroll, Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in Health or Aged Care is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership of your work.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office Suite, including Excel.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
