Nagy Design provide design solutions to Residential, Commercial and Retail markets.

Nagy Design have a strong involvement within the Retail sector with one of our larger clients being a global international organisation of which we have partnered with for over 15 years.

**The Position**

We now have an opportunity for a Store Design Draftsman to join the Nagy Design team at our Clayton office.

Working with the clients store development team, you will be responsible for documenting the design of new and refurbished stores, and minor works within Australia and New Zealand and to ensure all stores are ready for construction.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Design Documentation of initial store layouts as well as full documentation
- Assisting our Clients Project Managers to ensure a smooth design approval process enabling construction to start on time
- The ability to produce complete Construction Drawings independently
- Completion of presentation packages for submission to the landlords
- Undertaking site inspections if necessary
- Obtaining and understanding all statutory building compliance requirements
- Adjusting drawings to suit changes in tenancy size and shape
- Ensuring drawings for projects are completed on time
- Maintaining store project drawing files
- Liaising with external consultants to deliver a resolved design concept, documentation and specification before and during on site construction

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Retail drafting / document experience
- 1 - 2 years relevant experience in either ArchiCAD and or REVIT documentation role
- Relevant qualifications in building design documentation, design or drafting
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and Excel
- Knowledge of building code in Australia/New Zealand a must
- Proactive approach to problem resolution
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage confidential information
- High attention to detail, solid planning skills and well developed communication skills

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Clayton, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
