Product Management Associate, Debt Products

**How will I help?**

The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is looking for an experienced and motivated Product Manager to join our Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) Debt Products team which is responsible for ensuring that the suite of CIB products operate within the Westpac Product and Services Lifecycle (PSL) policy.

You will have direct oversight of a portfolio of complex debt products, including Trade, Structured and Asset Finance products, where you will utilise your knowledge of lending to influence and affect strategic product changes and product reviews while uplifting product performances for CIB.

You will collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders across the product value chain to ensure optimal product functioning, new product approvals, product changes and product closures. These key responsibilities will ensure our debt products are managed and maintained appropriately while meeting the needs of our valued Corporate and Institutional banking clients.

You will also:

- Assist with product design and product approval in line with the Westpac PSL policy
- Coordinate PSL committees that oversee the approval and monitoring of CIB products and their value chains
- Ongoing product reviews, risk assessments and monitoring activities to ensure the products are maintained in accordance with PSL requirements and performing as planned.
- Support the Associate Director Product and Services Lifecycle to manage, analyse and interpret the product monitoring inputs, processes and outputs to inform stakeholders about recalibrating, reviewing and recommending metrics and thresholds.

**What do I need?**

You will have an interest in product management, product governance and lending within a financial services environment. You will have experience across product and service lifecycles and good reporting skills. You will have the ability to comfortably manage relationships with stakeholders across many different areas of the bank.

Other advantageous skills:

- Demonstrable experience in driving value across the business, including improving efficiency through simplification opportunities
- Knowledge of risk management and governance frameworks for the financial services industry
- Knowledge of the financial services industry regulatory environment (APRA, ASIC, BEAR and BASEL)
