- We are currently recruiting for a _**_Production Manager _**_to work with our client, Source SBG, a successful QLD-based company with existing brands and products in the stationery, apparel, and têxtile sector looking to continue to grow_

**THE COMPANY**:
Source SBG is a successful Australian owned, QLD based, family business with three existing brands (Source SBG, The Lab Coat Company and Spencil) in the stationery, apparel and têxtile sectors with a focus on children’s and university markets. Source SBG sells products through their online stores, wholesale and distributor arrangements, and regular pop-up stores, and their head office is situated in Pine Mountain, a peaceful leafy suburb in Ipswich QLD.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Production Manager role reports directly to the General Manager and provides management and support to ensure the successful and efficient operation of the production function for each of the group’s brands. In this role, you will manage the production of all products across each brand and will be influential in leading the current growth phase for the business with a focus on production.

Key areas will include: being instrumental in product strategy and sourcing, managing inventory, managing costs and product profitability, and driving continuous improvement across the production function.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PRIORITIES**:

- Responsibility for production, management and day to day operations of production and distribution of products.
- Financial management of production costings, including reviewing costings and margins, creating budgets and managing operating budgets and costs.
- Manage the production processes, including constantly reviewing and seeking process improvements.
- Develop, manage and negotiate client and supplier arrangements across the business.
- Liaise with overseas factories and manage these relationships successfully.
- Identify opportunities for expansion of products, services and resourcing for new product development.
- Ensure best practice in all areas while driving for continuous improvement across the business.

**RELEVANT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:

- High level production management within a fast-paced SME production environment.
- Experience with products such as stationery, children’s products, apparel, uniforms, têxtiles, or similar (highly desirable).
- Financial acumen within a production setting, including analysing costings and margins.
- Proven experience in product strategy, sourcing, production and consumer goods management.
- Experienced in managing production of consumer goods, including management of and communicating with international material and manufacturing suppliers.
- Proven ability to find efficiencies and implement improvements within production processes with a focus on quality and high attention to detail.
- Experienced in implementing and managing the production and stock management processes and systems.
- High level communication skills including the ability to present information, negotiate and be persuasive.
- Systems and IT savvy: knowledge of production management systems advantageous;

- Full-time permanent opportunity.
- Hybrid role with at least 3 days per week at the Head Office in Pine Mountain, Ipswich QLD.
