**Emergency Medicine Registrar - Northam - 2026 Intake**

This position provides excellent exposure to a diverse range of emergency presentations and procedures while working within a supportive medium-sized mixed adult and paediatric department consisting of FACEMs, highly experienced rural hospitalists as well as junior medical officers seconded from metropolitan hospitals. **This position is accredited with both ACRRM and RACGP for Advanced Skills Training in Emergency Medicine.**

To be successful you will need to hold AHPRA registration and demonstrate a minimum of six months experience in Critical Care Medicine (Emergency; Acute Medicine; Intensive Care Medicine or Anaesthetics). This role will be both challenging and rewarding and you will be presented with cases and develop skills that can only come from working in a rural Emergency Department (ED). This position is 12 months fixed term full time.

Northam is an attractive rural town located 100km from the Perth CBD in the picturesque Avon Valley. Northam Health Service is the main hub hospital in the Wheatbelt which is home to approximately 70,000 people and farming communities. The ED sees approximately 15,000 patients per year.
