**Description**:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Part-Time Accounts Officer, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the finance department, helping with tasks ranging from accounts payable/receivable to preparing financial reports. This is an ideal position for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy in financial operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Ensure financial data is up-to-date and organized.
- Process Accounts Payable and Receivable Transactions: Efficiently handle all transactions to ensure timely processing.
- Prepare and Submit Claims/Invoices: Use debtor-managed portals to prepare and submit invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company procedures.
- Reconcile Bank Statements and Ledgers: Perform regular reconciliations to ensure financial records match bank statements.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Assist in compiling and submitting regular financial reports for review.
- Support Budget Preparation: Assist in financial planning and budgeting activities.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to accounting policies and regulations to maintain compliance.
- Provide Administrative and Accounting Support: Offer assistance to the finance team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- (preferred) Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
