**About the position**:
Totally Smiles Morningside is currently looking for a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team in this dual role. We are a gorgeous cozy family orientated 2 surgery practice. There will be shifts available Monday to Saturday.

Come and join our long-standing team with the Practice Manager and Lead Dentist having worked together for 20 years at Morningside.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Care**: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.

**Clinical Support**: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.

**Inventory Management**: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.

**Patient Education**: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.

**Team Collaboration**: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.

**Compliance**: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

**What do you need to succeed**:

- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
