**About the Opportunity**

As the stock controller you are responsible for all the daily inventory warehouse processes, completing them safely and with accuracy and care. You strive for efficiency, always looking for ways to improve processes and optimise layouts.
You are driven by stocktake results with mínimal discrepancies such as mispick, out of date stock loss and damage. You will be an integral part of a dynamic and energetic team and will be trained across all operational functions.

**A day in the life of an Operations & Stock Controller at Shorty’s**
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations and reporting of any discrepancies
- Stock is put away and movements recorded in ERP bin locations
- Accurate pick and pack for order fulfilment, cold orders, reviewing process improvements
- Sales return orders are checked accurately on return. Stock checked for resale.
- Use by Dates - check on receipt and fortnightly, rotation of stock on put away first in, first out.
- Proactive communication of slow moving inventory
- Damaged stock/ullages - weekly checks and procurement notified
- ERP System is the source of truth and up to date with accurate stock and used to drive operational process
- Premium stock is treated with care and stored in fine wine fridges, understanding of local and international wines
- Follow safety protocols with every operational process - your own and our teams safety is paramount
- Ensuring your team is working effectively and time is managed efficiently. Rosters are adhered to, breaks and finish times are effectively managed
- A good team culture created so employees feel comfortable addressing issues and asking questions
- Adhere to WHS parameters and be a leader for safety first culture - stack heights, exits, safety zones and forklift safety..
- You will be required to engage in the operational process improvements projects and drive successful adoption and implementation.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Work well in a fast paced team environment
- Forklift license is required for this role
- Energetic as this will be a physical role
- Organisational skills and looking for more efficient operational processes
- Attention to detail and care for the inventory - treat inventory like cash
- Multi-tasking as you will be expected to work in a team, change direction and be cross trained in all areas of the operations team.
- Solution focussed and a can do attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Beverage and wine experience is valuable however training will be provided
