Depot Manager

**The Company**

Nu Container Recycling are a leading organisation in container recycling and will operate multiple container return points as a part of the container deposit scheme scheduled to commence in Victoria. They are set to operate two new sites with the plan to expand and grow their presence opening fully operational depots / collection points. The roles will either be based in Carrum Downs or Braeside with work one day on a weekend.

**The Opportunity**

The Depot Manager is responsible for managing the operations across one of the recycling collection sites in a professional and efficient manner. Duties will include:

- Manage the operations across the site including logistics, directing customers to collection points, manage machinery and customer service.
- Transporting items to the relevant storage area through the use of a forklift or manual handling.
- Ensure that operations are carried out in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
- Lead the team in providing the highest level of customer service, both internally and externally, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience
- Drive a high-level safety culture
- Operate machinery to assist in the smooth operation and collection and sorting of containers
- Liaise with management, suppliers and customers with respect to operations
- A background in either logistics, warehousing, customer service, retail, production, transport or similar
- Ability to supervise and lead employees including assistance with on-the-job training
- Experience working with different types of machinery or ability to pick it up with ease
- High level of customer service skills and a passion for working with people
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Self motivated with the ability to think laterally and make things happen
- Familiar with Workplace Health and Safety standards
- Forklift licence would be ideal
