Workboat Operator

REPORTS TO
- Marine Superintendent
- Site Supervisor

OBJECTIVE
- Ensure safety is not compromised
- Ensure environmental requirements are adhered to
- Maintain productivity

KEY DUTIES
- Primary point of contact is the Marine Superintendent or Site Supervisor.
- Start and stop engines to operate equipment.
- Direct or assist workers placing shore anchors and cables, laying additional pipes from dredges to

shore, and pumping water from pontoons.
- Ensure the Site Supervisor is promptly provided with any relevant documentation received from

either the client or authorities.
- Ensure site diary/Vessel Log is completed at the completion of each day, accurately recording the

day’s events.
- Complete the daily pre-start for the vessel.
- Operate the workboat in accordance with company-based policy and procedures (WMS)
- Assist in the investigation of incidents / accidents
- Ensure the safety standards of the site are achieved.

MEDIA
- All media enquiries are to be directed to the CEO. No comment shall be made to Media without

prior approval from the CEO.

TIME
- The position involves 100% of time onsite.
