**About the School**:
Mango Hill State Secondary College opened in 2020 and currently caters to student across Years 7-11. Our college vision of creating a community of Respectful, Engaged, Aspiring Learners for the world of tomorrow drives our strategic initiatives.
**About the Role**:
As the Head of Department - Student Engagement and Wellbeing you will have responsibility for the following:
- Coordinate and manage student engagement and wellbeing programs across the college - including individual and small group programs targeted to wellbeing and social-emotional support for identified students.
- Coordinate the activities of the college pastoral care program, including whole of college assemblies and special events.
- Work with the Deputy Principal and Wellbeing and Engagement staff to support the introduction of Positive Behaviour for Learning at the college.
- In collaboration with the Deputy Principals and Guidance Officers, develop risk assessments, support plans and provisions, personalised learning records, and other relevant documentation to support identified students.
- Work collaboratively with members of the Leadership Team and support staff to support a range of learners, including First Nations students, students with a language background other than English, students in Out of Home Care and other diverse learners.
- Provide professional development for all staff in Inclusive Practices to develop quality differentiated teaching practices for all learners.
- Analysis of data to track student engagement and wellbeing across the college.
- Work with the Deputy Principals and Leadership Team to co-lead and model a visible REAL learning culture across the college that celebrates student achievement (academic, sporting, cultural, REAL awards) and teacher best practice to support our values.
