Work on the Largest Automated Electroplating line in the Southern Hemisphere - State of the Art - Industry leading Aerospace Processing & Treatment Facility - Night Shift, Great Job Security & Career Opportunities - Wingfield location **The Company**: Rosebank Engineering is a dynamic and progressive business specialising in the manufacture, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft components and systems. They provide product and service solutions to the Australian Defence Force and to national and international partner companies in the aerospace and defence industries. Their Wingfield location is a purpose built "State-of-the-Art" metal treatment and finishing facility, which operates comprehensive electroplating (inc. electroless), prime & paint and; NDT services in a modern, automated component finishing facility, equivalent to pharmaceutical "Clean Rooms" including temperature & humidity control. **Position Overview**: The primary function of this role is to work within the processing team on **NIGHT SHIFT** performing electroplating and chemical processing/treatment of aircraft components. Those with formal NDT qualifications - as a minimum FPI & MPI to Level 2 - must also be prepared to operate the Electroplating line and undertake the requisite training. These positions report to the Team Leader - Processing Night Shift. **Key Areas of Responsibility**: - Perform electroplating and chemical processing of components to internal and customer process specifications within the scope of production and maintenance authorisations - Assist the Laboratory Supervisor and perform plating bath solution sampling and chemical additions as required to maintain solution concentrations within prescribed levels - Perform plating masking and unmasking IAW documented processes and procedures - Assist in the manufacture of plating racking and fixtures - Perform activities associated with the production of reverse osmosis water - Assist with the verification and validation of plating processes - Perform maintenance and calibration of plating baths, tanks and waste treatment plants - Conduct NDT Inspections IAW customer specifications - Quarantine any component failures for further assessment and re-work as necessary - Interpret specifications, technique sheets, process instructions and production data, and identify errors and areas for improvement - Proficient in the use of tools, fixtures and equipment associated with the performance of work duties - Assist engineering in the development of design changes and deviations - Assist in the management and timely replenishment of consumables **Key Selection Criteria**: - Cert III - Engineering Production Systems/Metal Finishing or equivalent - Previous experience with Aerospace Metal Finishing is desirable with formal Electroplating qualifications a distinct advantage - Technical experience in aerospace production and/or maintenance environments - Level 2 FPI & MPI a distinct advantage - even if you are NOT an Electroplater - Understanding of aerospace component production and maintenance procedures - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Aerospace ERP Systems - Professional, friendly, energetic, positive and customer focused - Possess well developed communication and interpersonal skills - Embrace and drive change, flexible in thought and action, always seeking to continually improve the business and its people For more information and a confidential discussion, please feel free to contact Kirk on 0423 548 780.
