**One Culture Support Services** is a not for profit disability service that empowers people of all cultures and abilities through individual supports, inclusive sport & community connections.

We are seeking a **Female Disability Support Worker** to join our team, on a casual basis. Successful applicant will be honest and trustworthy and have a genuine interest in working to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

**KEY POINTS**:

- Live within a 30 minutes drive of Kidman Park, Findon, Seaton, Henley beach SA.
- Available to work mornings, after 2pm on weekdays and weekends.
- Urdu language speakers.
- Previous experience providing personal cares.
- An understanding of non-verbal communication and the appropriate, respectful responses.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Responsible for assisting with care and supporting individuals to actively participate in their community and achieve their goals.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Assist individual’s daily living circumstances and support them with transport where necessary.
- Assist in providing direct care to individuals & reporting on supports.
- Assist in supporting individuals, their carer’s and significant others in a way that encourages confidence in their choices to safely access the community.
- Assist individual’s in maintaining their self-esteem and confidence in a variety of environments.
- Deliver or support individuals to engage in sporting or community activities where possible.
- Assist in delivering goal-orientated services that enable individuals to remain safe and independent in the community.
- Assist individuals & empower them to make positive choices to support their physical and mental wellbeing.

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Disabilities
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Aged Care
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Home and Community Care
- Assistant in Nursing (AIN) Certificate
- Degree in Nursing
- 1 or more years of experience in the field.

**MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**:

- Drivers License and Car Insurance
- Access to Vehicle
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker screening check
- First aid certificate

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
