**THE OPPORTUNITY**
**Location: Bass Coast | Gippsland**
You be responsible for the delivery of the Livestock procurement strategy to meet the current and future requirements for the organisation, whilst maximizing profit opportunity.
**YOUR RESPONSILBITIES**
- Ensure an efficient and professional information flow from Livestock Procurement across the site and externally.
- Develop and maintain a profitable industry network of Suppliers and related stakeholders, promoting the partnerships across this network.
- Maintain, develop and capitalise on strong vendor relationships to ensure supply demands are met.
- Promote the livestock procurement, capitalising on purchasing opportunities, mitigating risks, exploring current and future procurement opportunities.
- Liaise with Livestock Coordinators to ensure procurement is aligned to production planning and scheduling.
- Participate in meetings and forums internally and externally in relation to Livestock procurement activities.
- Proactively escalate issues of risk and opportunity to the Head of Livestock.
- Develop and maintain a profitable industry network of Suppliers and related stakeholders, to deliver functional responsibilities.
**TO BE SUCCESSFUL**
**You will bring with you**:
- Experience as a livestock buyer or similar livestock experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with an ability to work autonomously, under pressure and to deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to demonstrate initiative and contribute to team performance.
