**About the role**:
This role will strategically partner with our Operations and Farms site leaders to create the people plan for the site to facilitate the achievement of DON business objectives.
You will be responsible for enabling and empowering leaders to drive change, transformation, and engagement -to deliver improved business performance and outcomes through their people. Lifting leadership capability is a core pillar of success as this in turn will drive a high-performance culture and engagement, build capability, and most importantly enhance our culture of safety.
Please note this role is based at our Castlemaine Manufacturing site, the biggest regional manufacturing facility in Victoria with 1,500 employees.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead, coach and develop and a high performing People and Performance team
- Act as a key influencer at a senior leadership level to drive the people strategy
- Build organisational and people capability
- Oversee and support the ER agenda on site
- Maintain positive and proactive industrial relations across sites
- Provide trusted industrial relations advice to ensure the organisation operates within state and federal legislation requirements
- Provide IR frameworks that promote collaborative relationships
- Establish trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders both within the P&P function and other key functions
- Lead the P&P Operations team through the delivery of Performance & Salary Reviews, and Talent reviews.

**About you**:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or Business (highly desirable)
- Industrial Relations or Business Studies or commensurate experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of HR legislation and regulations
- A proven track record of experience and achievement in leading an operational P&P function
- Demonstrated broad generalist P&P experience in a business partner model
- Employee relations experience in managing performance and disciplinary issues
- A successful track record in persuading and influencing leaders to take up best practice leadership approaches
