**Description**
We are seeking an experienced Overnight Cost Controller to join our team and support the financial operations of our hospitality and retail venues. As an Overnight Cost Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the reporting of the cost of goods sold. You will work closely with finance team, admin departments and other stakeholders to maintain profitability and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
This is an overnight position that requires working non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays. The Overnight Cost Controller will work primarily in an office environment, but may be required to visit the hospitality venues periodically to conduct audits and monitor operations.

Mount Buller is located in Victoria, Australia. Specifically, it is situated in the Alpine region of Victoria, which is in the north-eastern part of the state. The mountain is located approximately 290 km (180 mi) northeast of Melbourne and is a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
Required qualifications and skills
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of stock management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in picking up systems, or preferably experience in Cooking the Books and RTP.
Responsibilities and duties
- Stocktaking Hospitality venues and Retail sites.
- Reporting of GOGS to support the operation and financial reports.
- System Maintenance of stock management software.
- Review Venue Managers recording of and transferring of stock and consequences.
- Stock testing during operational hours.
