The Technical Services team is responsible for maintenance of laboratory equipment and technical infrastructure, and the provision of basic laboratory services and consumables to researchers in the laboratories within CCI. This position assists Technical Services in various aspects of laboratory operations including but not limited to the support of all researchers through maintenance, supply management and waste disposal.
The Laboratory Support Assistant works within a support team, collaborating closely with various stakeholders throughout the Institute and affiliated partners.
**As our Laboratory Support Assistant you purpose will be to**:
- Provide operational support to the various laboratory services, including but not limited to ordering supplies, managing inventories, operation of equipment for the sterilisation of reusable products, manufacture and aliquoting of basic research reagents and waste management/general laboratory housekeeping
- Maintaining records and generating reports as needed relating to the operational activities of the laboratories
- Maintain and further develop the sustainability of the laboratory operations
- Contribute to the broader Core Services team including assisting with internal equipment maintenance and supporting the animal facility as needed
- Other laboratory support duties as requested.
