English & Maths Tutoring Vacancies for 2024

We're currently looking for talented and passionate people to join our team of tutors at St Albans campus. The role entails teaching structured English and Mathematics lessons to small groups of Prep - Year 12 students on Saturdays and completing up to 2 hours of paid corrections during the week remotely.

**ABOUT SPECTRUM TUITION**

With over 20 years of experience, we have carefully designed our classes to directly align with the current Victorian curriculum and structured them to allow students to be taught the concept, understand it and practise it. All students receive a structured booklet each week with worked examples and practise questions which they work through with their tutor. Moreover, we start with a free assessment for each student to find out what their current level is to give everyone personalised advice as to what steps to take to reach their educational goals - whether it be to prepare for a scholarship or selective exam, become more confident with maths or how to achieve a certain ATAR to gain entry into their desired course.

- **All teaching materials and contents are provided** (booklets, stationery). You don't need to come up with the content to teach, it is all provided for you. All you need is 5-10 minutes of lesson planning before class, to familiarise yourself with the given material.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The position involves:

- Planning for classes
- Correcting work
- Teaching concepts that will assist students with their school work;
- Giving students feedback and advice on how they can improve; and
- Being the absolute best role model to our students.

**WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR**

To be considered, you must:

- Have completed VCE and achieved a high ATAR score
- Be passionate about learning and teaching;
- Be a strong communicator, both verbally and via writing;
- Can teach both Maths & English;
- Be extremely well organised;
- Be able to follow systems and procedures;
- Have leadership potential;
- Be able to work well in a team;
- Demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised; and
- Demonstrate the ability to influence others to work towards common goals.
- Most importantly, you must be committed and available to teach classes weekly on Saturdays throughout the academic calendar.
