Category Manager

Permanent Category Manager position with the largest private hospital in NSW.
- Sydney Upper North Shore location with on-site parking.
- Salary up to $150,000 + Super + NFP benefits.

**The Opportunity**:
We are excited to partner exclusively with Sydney Adventist Hospital (the San) on this newly created role.

Based in Wahroonga, and operating as a not-for-profit organisation, the San is NSW’s largest private hospital. With around 2,300 staff, the San provides a comprehensive range of acute surgical, medical and obstetric care with state-of-the-art technology and facilities.

Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for the management of assigned categories, helping to improve financial performance and achieving supplier rationalisation and product standardisation (where clinically appropriate).

**Aspects of your role will include**:

- Defining and delivering Category Management Plans for assigned categories.
- Identifying sourcing opportunities by reviewing spend categories, spend analytics and contract portfolios.
- Delivering assigned annual financial improvement targets across assigned categories.
- Developing and delivering high quality sourcing proposals and outcome briefs.
- Capturing all negotiated value by monitoring and managing contract compliance, and providing contract management support to operational managers.

**Your Background**:

- You will be positive, enthusiastic and innovative with an ability to interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders with respect and confidence.
- Sound knowledge and proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing, including supplier relationship management.
- Proven experience in driving cost savings and service improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to complex business needs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to large groups.
