As the leading metropolitan race club in Queensland, the BRC conducts 70+ race meetings and hosts over 200,000 patrons each year, with several events on each day including weddings, conferences, corporate meetings to name a few

The Club requires an experienced Turf Surfaces Maintenance Attendant (Doomben Racecourse) to complement our team in a full-time capacity. This role is to ensure that all turf surfaces are maintained and presented in the highest possible standard with due consideration of OH&S policies and procedures.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Mowing, vacuuming, aeration of turf surfaces.
- Irrigation - maintenance, adjustment and repairs.
- Operate tractors and implements in a safe manner.
- Participate in renovation programs as directed.
- Move running rail for each race meeting.
- Undertake daily pre-start assessments of all turf equipment.
- Assist Management in daily/weekly/monthly maintenance programs.
- Work race days as scheduled by Racecourse Manager.

**To be successful for this role, you MUST have**:

- Minimum of Certificate III Turf management
- “C” Class driver licence
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound interpersonal and organisational skills
- Physically fit to undertake duties as required
