THE ROLE
The Central Information Point (CIP) was formed as a result of a recommendation from the Royal Commission into Family Violence to better serve the needs of victims.
The CIP Officer works in a multi-disciplinary team co-located in the CIP Operations unit, Family Safety Victoria. Upon request, the CIP Officer - DFFH will access relevant DFFH data to assess and collate a summary of relevant family violence information. This data will contribute to a report which will assist in forming a comprehensive family violence risk assessment to keep victims safe.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
*
- Provide relevant advice on data held within DHHS databases, summarising information to support risk assessment and management of family violence.
- Use DHHS databases to provide advice to assist in the verification of data, including verifying identify of perpetrators.
- Using relevant information, input and contribute to the preparation of CIP reports
