**The Opportunity**

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a **Shift Fitter** in our **Blast Furnace maintenance team** based in** Port Kembla**. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

You will join a cross-functional team that provides effective maintenance support to the No.5 and No.6 Blast Furnace business units and ensures equipment is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for quality and reliability. In this critical role, you will be the first point of call for maintenance issues and concerns and will assist with inspection of equipment while using your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes.

**What Will You Do?**
- isolate equipment and perform maintenance and repairs
- inspect quality critical equipment and fault find
- resolve issues and fix any non-conformances
- seek ways to continuously improve our maintenance strategies
- providing supply, stock and purchase requisitions, schedules, work orders, and parts listing via the use of the computerised maintenance management system (SAP)

**More About You**

You will have a strong technical background with the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a team environment. You will also have:

- mechanical trade qualifications
- experience within a maintenance function
- experience working both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
- strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
