**About the Opportunity**
The Team Leader, Adelaide Town Hall is responsible for guiding both the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic direction of one of Adelaide’s most important civic and cultural venues, where history has been made since 1866. Located in the heart of the city, the heritage-listed Town Hall plays host to a diverse program of civic, cultural, business and community events, and this role is central to ensuring its continued relevance, quality and impact.

You will lead a committed team to deliver smooth and efficient venue operations, including the coordination of bookings, facilities maintenance, contractor management and high-quality customer service. A strong focus on operational excellence, attention to detail and stakeholder care will help ensure every event, from official functions, celebrations and live music performances, is a memorable moment, delivered to a high standard.

The role also carries a strong strategic lens. You’ll be responsible for identifying business growth opportunities, supporting cultural initiatives and fostering partnerships that align with the City of Adelaide’s strategic goals. This includes amplifying the Adelaide’s UNESCO City of Music designation through the venue’s programming and strengthening its role as a space for civic and cultural expression.

This is a broad leadership role that combines operational oversight with strategic development, requiring a collaborative mindset, commercial awareness, and a clear understanding of how a venue like the Adelaide Town Hall can deliver value to both community and city.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex partnership issues, interpret impacts on business priorities and provide recommendations.
- Proven ability to develop and lead a team in the pursuit of defined outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand standard financial realities and reporting, including budgeting, profit & loss, cost benefit analysis and forecasting / projections.
- Proven experience in delivering significant project outcomes for a broad portfolio of projects in an environment of balancing complex issues and competing priorities, within a similar or related business environment.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels of management and staff, government agencies, stakeholders, suppliers and the community, both verbally and in writing.
