**The Role**

Our Home Care services empower older people to live at home independently and safely. You will take the lead to support and provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each client and their families.

**This is a casual role, with the option to go PPT and will cover a variety of shifts, so you must be available and flexible within the hours of 08.00 - 17.00 ideally minimum 2 days per week.**

**Certificate III in Individual Support or industry experience for Level 2 roles: Personal Care**
**No experience required for Level 1 roles: Domestic **assistance.**

**You will be servicing our clients in Tweed Heads, Banora Point, Kingscliff and surrounding areas.**

Your role will include:

- Domestic assistance, including cleaning, washing and care of pets
- Meal assistance, including shopping, meal preparation and help with eating
- Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments
- Social support & activities, including outings and social activities.
- Personal care, showering, bathing at all levels

**About you**

To be a Home Care provider you will be of a compassionate and supportive nature to assist our elderly clients to live as independently as possible at home, listening to their individual needs and tailoring the services to achieve their best possible living standards.

In addition, you will have:

- A desire to help improve the lives of the elderly and their families
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and an empathy with older people
- ** Certificate III in Aged Care / Disability Support or related field**:

- ** Or - you may be interested in SCC helping you to obtain these qualifications while working with us.**:

- Prior experience in a similar role in the community/home care
- ** Current driver's license and car with full comprehensive insurance**:

- Time management skills
- Reliable and trustworthy - our clients are dependent on you.
- Ability to work with mínimal to no supervision
- Able to provide evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations
- Able to provide evidence of flu vaccinations
- An Aged Care or NDIS services background or experience working in hospitality, tourism, catering, hotel management, accommodation services or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working independently and remotely in customers’ homes and in the local community.
