Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands, within our beautiful Shorehaven Facility.

Shorehaven Facility is situated in the vibrant, beach side community of Shorehaven, Alkimos. This Facility offers an innovative costal design with state-of-the-art equipment to make your life and the life of our residents easier. As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.

A working day will involve:

- Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

You should possess the following:

- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
