**About the Opportunity**
Join Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) as the Clinical Lead in Pain Medicine, where your expertise will shape the future of pain management across the region. In this role, you will:
- Provide specialist medical management to patients referred to the MLHD Pain Clinic.
- Lead clinical consultation services and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to teaching, training, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver care through outpatient, telehealth, and consultative services.
**About You**
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds current registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician.
- Has Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA (FFPMANZCA).
- Demonstrates strong clinical, diagnostic, and technical skills in pain medicine.
- Thrives in collaborative environments and leads with empathy and professionalism.
- Is committed to education, research, and continuous improvement in patient care.

**Selection Criteria**
- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the FPMANZCA and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organization; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
- Sound clinical knowledge in Pain Medicine demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty.
- Demonstrated clinical, diagnostic and technical skills commensurate with functioning as an independent Pain Medicine Consultant
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated participation in and commitment to undergraduate, postgraduate, interdisciplinary teaching and education, including research, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Commitment to on-site attendance, as will be required for some patient care and other clinical responsibilities.
