In the role of Warehouse Assistant, you will ensure the smooth operation of The Signal Group warehouse facilities and accuracy of inventory management.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.
- Preparation and receipt of appropriate documentation.
- Allocate and retrieve materials and products from the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and reconciliation.
- Organise and maintain warehouse space for efficient storage and workflow.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Assist the Finance Manager in meeting audit requirements in relation to stock control.
- Propose and implement process and procedure improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Follow Signal Group safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and the wider team.

YOUR BACKGROUND
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a production environment.
- Forklift licence and experience operating material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Good computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
- Flexibility to work rostered hours ranging between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
