Provide support to aged and disability care clients in a job you'll love.

Bannister In Home Care is seeking that special person with a genuine desire to make a difference in someone’s day.

You will be working closely with aged care and disability clients to support them in their own homes and local community through understanding their needs, preferences and goals.

**About Us**

Bannister In Home Care was established in 2013 as part of family business that had provided training to workers in the Aged Care and Community Services sector since 2006.
In 2017 we were approved as a provider of Home Care Packages and NDIS supports.

We are big enough to know how to provide the best quality services to our clients while retaining the personal touch of a family run business.

We provide in home care services to people in the Northern Rivers, Gold Coast and Brisbane communities
- Anyone needing support in their home
- Home Care Package consumers
- NDIS participants
- Rehabilitating from injury
- Family or carers of any of the above needing some respite

**About The Role**

You will be providing support to our clients in their day-to-day lives, by assisting and encouraging them to participate in tasks such as (but not limited to):

- Domestic Assistance - cleaning, cooking, shopping, laundry
- Personal Care - showering, dressing, bowel care
- Companionship - providing company and friendship
- Driving and Community Access - driving to appointments, shops
- Manual Handling - transfers

**Personal Attributes**
- Community/Aged/Disability Care experience
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene
- Professionalism, discretion, understanding and respectful in relation to the client and family
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised

**Skills & Experience**
- Certificate III in Aged, Disability, Individual Support or other relevant qualification
- Minimum of 6 months paid work experience in a similar role
- Must have bowel care experience
- Current CPR, First Aid and National Police Check
- Own reliable transport
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening card
- Evidence of 2021 Influenza Vaccination
- Evidence of Covid Vaccination
- Australian Work Rights verification
- Two relevant work references

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $32.50 - $69.30 per hour

- Shift work

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Cert III Qualification Aged Care/Disability (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
