**About the role**:
Our Dingley workshop is currently looking for a Trade Assistant to join the Steel team and assist in the production of specialised handrails and balustrades.

You'll be responsible for
- Checking plans and documentation to work out the requirements of each job
- Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
- Setting up machines to cut, bend, and straighten metal
- Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints to burred surfaces using hand tools and portable tools
- Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
- Ensuring S&A quality, health and safety processes are followed at all times
- Performing other general duties and tasks around the factory to assist Stainless Steel Fabricators

**What we're looking for**:

- Experience in the steel industry (ideal)
- Australian drivers licence
