Experienced Disability Support Worker

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience with participants of various backgrounds, including drug use is required.
- Experience responding to emotionally dysregulated behaviour.
- Experienced and comfortable support verbal aggression
- Experienced with personal care

**Locations: Canberra**
- Start Monday 25/09/23
- Casual position

**Must be Available**:
Monday: 9:00am to 5pm

Tuesday: 9:00am to 5pm

Wednesday: 9:00am to 5pm

Thursday: 9:00am to 5pm

Friday: 9:00am to 5pm

Wednesday 7:30am to 9:30am fortnightly to 12:30pm to 5pm

**Requirements include**:

- Right to work in Australia
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working With Childrens Check
- Drivers License
- Own Car with Comprehensive Insurance

**MAIN DUTIES**:

- Providing assistance and support to improve daily living
- Assist with daily domestic tasks
- Assist with meal preparation
- Providing support to develop independence skills
- Assisting with accessing community for appointments, outings and leisure
- Assisting to build capacity with transportation, personal care and social interactions
- Helping participants to achieve their goals
- Following procedures including the collation of data and report writing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of participant interactions and services provided.

**Salary**: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour
