**About the role**:
As a Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of a Unitywater sewage treatment plant or recycled water plant to ensure compliance with Unitywater’s and legislative requirements. We currently have 2 positions; one based at our Maroochydore, Nambour STPs and one covering our Kawana, Landsborough and Maleny STP’s. Your key accountabilities will include however not be limited to:

- Monitor and control treatment plant processes, SCADA, and on-line monitoring systems to maintain the required treatment standards and undertakes duties as assigned by the Operator-in-Charge.
- Liaise with Field Services to issue work orders and to ensure prompt servicing, repairs, and maintenance of assets such that plant equipment is maintained and in full working order.
- Complete daily data and reporting logs including computerised spreadsheets.
- Participate in Unitywater safety audits and inspections to demonstrate visible safety leadership and participation.

- Certificate III in sewage treatment plant operations; or if you are passionate about a career in Treatment Plants and willing to complete the Cert, we encourage you to apply
- A practical and working knowledge with hardware, software, instrumentation, communications, and process control associated with sewage treatment and recycled water plants.
- An understanding of OH&S requirements, particularly risk assessments.
- Record keeping, report writing and document control experience using an Integrated Management System.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills coupled with time and project management skills.
- Computer literacy with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and software solutions specific to the team’s core business (e.g. SCADA).
- High level investigative, analytical and research skills.
- C Class Driver’s Licence.
