Main Duties: The main duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Selecting the type of glass required for each product.
- Preparing glass for installation into door frames by cutting and shaping glass and making adjustments as necessary for a high-quality finish.
- Preparing glass for installation by utilizing patterns/ templates and jigs as necessary.
- Using standard glazier tools such as glass pliers to ensure excess glass is safely cut and removed.
- Smoothing rough edges using appropriate equipment such as sanding belts, smoothing wheels, and others.
- Installing glass in door frames, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Safely adhering to all OHS requirements.
- Working with General Manager to ensure glass suppliers provide glass of a consistent quality.

Hours of Work: This is a full-time role where the incumbent will be expected to work at least 38 hours per week.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Abilities Required:
Qualifications: A minimum qualification of AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV is required to be proficient in this role. As a substitute for formal qualifications, Doors Depot may consider someone who does not have formal qualifications but has substantial relevant experience and skills of at least three years.

Experience Required:

- 3 years post qualification experience as a Glazier in a commercial setting is required.
- Demonstrated glass cutting and measuring skills.
- Working knowledge of commercial glass installation procedures.

Abilities/Attributes:

- Physical capability appropriate for the role.
- Practical and manual skills.
- The ability to undertake detailed and intricate work.
- Highly motivated and reliable.
- The ability to make precise calculations and take accurate measurements.
- An eye for detail to determine any defects.
- Well presented with excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must understand the importance of and be proactive in adherence to all OHS requirements at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
