The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following: - Leading a teaching and learning agenda across the school with a collaborative team approach, knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, moderation processes and the alignment of curriculum, assessment and pedagogy. Leading pedagogical practices to optimise engagement in student learning to achieve improvements in academic achievement. Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop productive relationships with students, teachers and school leaders. Keep abreast of the research and evidence based practices that have a positive impact on pedagogical approaches and students academic achievement.
It is desirable that the successful applicant can demonstrate the following: - Leading coaching and mentoring of staff members, developing collegiality to build a learning and development culture
- Modelling innovative teaching styles and providing appropriate professional development. Lead the development, implementation and review of teaching and learning strategies in classroom settings.
