Telecommunication Technician

**About the role**

We are currently seeking suitably qualified Telecom Technician - Fibre Splicer to join our expanding team for Wideband, Optus and NBN projects in Sydney and surrounding metro areas.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Install, splice, and terminate fibre cables and devices
- Termination of Connection Modules
- OTDR, power meter & light source fibre optic commissioning
- Build fibre paths through new and existing networks
- Read and understand cable plans and designs
- Exchange transfers and patching
- Required Skills and Experience

**Essential**
- Experience working as a Fibre Splicer on NBN/Telstra
- OPTUS LEVEL 2 accreditation
- Core/single fibre splicing experience
- The ability to read and understand cable plans and designs
- Current Drivers Licence
- OHS Construction Card
- nbn Enable registration
- Willingness to work across Sydney Metro

**Desirable**
- Optical fibre accreditation
- Ribbon fibre splicing capability
- Previous nbn & Telstra Wideband & Optus fibre experience

**Salary**: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bella Vista NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
