The Technical Solution Lead is responsible for engaging with a range of internal and external technical stakeholders to define, document and implement the Health Information Exchange (HIE) solution. The role is expected to coordinate all technical workstreams for the project, including:
- Coordinating technical activities with the HIE software vendor(s) and health services.
- Working with the Department's Azure infrastructure managed service provider to ensure project infrastructure is implemented according to agreed designs and standards.
- Driving the security requirements from definition to implementation, including working with the department's cyber security team and third-party vendors.
- Working with the Project's Architects and Integration leads to ensure the solution architecture is documented to a high level of detail and quality.
Accountabilities
- Coordinate the engagement and lead proactively on technical working sessions for successful integration between pathology laboratory information systems, health service clinical systems, the HIE and the Azure cloud hosting environment.
- Document and coordinate the review and approval of all relevant technical documentation and deliverables (e.g. detailed designs and specifications) that meets business requirements and department design standards.
- Work with the Testing and QA team to ensure technical dependencies have been met (e.g. environments established, user accounts provisioned etc) so that key technical testing workstreams such as performance testing, security penetration testing, accessibility testing etc can commence as scheduled.
- Identify emerging issues, risk and trends impacting on the successful achievement of project objectives and provide high quality technical intelligence and sound recommendations.
- Build and maintain working relationships as well as effectively engage with a broad range of stakeholders to negotiate, facilitate, influence, and advocate strategic outcomes of the highest level.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
