We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Chief Information Security Officer. This role will be a member of the Service Delivery leadership team within eHealth NSW and acts with autonomy within the overall decision making and accountability limits for the Information Security Portfolio.
eHealth NSW is responsible for the delivery of digital solutions for clinical care and business services, supported by smart infrastructure, providing a digitally enabled and integrated health system that delivers quality, patient-centred health experiences to the people of NSW.
The Agency plans, invests in, implements and supports digital systems across NSW Health in partnership with Local Health Districts, Specialty Health Networks, Statewide Services, Pillars and the Ministry of Health. The focus areas for building an eHealth landscape in NSW are clinical systems, integrated care and population health solutions, workforce and business management systems, data and analytics, information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and information security. eHealth NSW also develops and maintains ICT policies, standards and architectures for the NSW public health system, acting as the Health Cluster lead for ICT and digital, with oversight from the Secretary of NSW Health and the eHealth Executive Council.
This role will be located in Chatswood.
**Role Outline**
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of information / cyber security and protection of the digital / ICT systems, platforms, devices and information of the NSW Health system.
The CISO for NSW Health is also responsible for the alignment of cybersecurity policies and standards as published by Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASCS) and Cyber Security NSW across NSW Health. The CISO must ensure the ongoing attestation, improvement and reporting for alignment to these policies and standards.
Your track record of achievement in leadership and management of cyber and information security in complex, large scale digital / ICT environments will be essential to your success in this role. Your leadership experience in relationship management, balancing customer perspectives and forging delivery partnerships across multiple organisations, multiple government agencies, and diverse professional groups will be a crucial capability for success.
To be successful in this role you will also need to show the required level of ability in each of the areas of capability and responsibility for the role. Results delivery, program management, problem solving, leading reform and collaborative working are key capabilities. Ideally you will also have a record of managing a geographically dispersed system of services, meeting industry standards and service accreditation requirements, and maintaining a safe and constructive workplace culture.
Success will also require a working knowledge and understanding of the shared services business model and NSW health system structure, as well as a practical ability to develop opportunities for enhancing organisational performance, business value and customer service.

You are required to submit a one page covering letter, including a short statement in response to the two targeted questions below:
- Describe your experience in leading and managing the response to cyber security threats and incidents as well as the protection of the digital / ICT systems, platforms, devices and information.
- Describe a situation where you have had to engage with a wide range of stakeholder groups to ensure support for the cyber security strategy, the information security requirements and input into solution design.
**Essential Requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and cyber security experience working within digital / ICT systems and information security with a customer centric approach
- Extensive management experience and a record of achievement in digital / ICT service delivery and service delivery in a large and complex service environment, including proven skills in developing and managing relationships, customer perspectives and delivery partnerships across a wide and complex group of stakeholders
This is a full time Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. The remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
