**The Position**
- Position Title: Community Engagement Worker - Youth Community Mental Health
- Classification: NP11, PE11, YB13, YC35
- Salary per hour (exc. super): Dependent on qualification
- Hours per fortnight: 80 (including ADO every 4 weeks)
- Employment Status: Full-time fixed term
- Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination

**The Team**
- Bendigo Health Mental Health Services provides a range of public mental health services to residents of the Loddon Campaspe Southern Mallee area. Most mental illnesses first present in young people in their teens to mid-twenties. The Youth Community Mental Health Service enhances the capacity of Bendigo Health Care Group Mental Health Services to provide treatment to young people who have complex mental health disorders. The service also aims to improve access and treatment for young people with more prevalent mental health problems including complex anxiety, depression and eating disorders, and early manifestations of psychosis and personality disorders and co-morbid drug and alcohol problems.

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : Recently graduated health practitioer in nursing (Registered or Enrolled), Social Work or Occupational Therapy
- Essential : An understanding of the range of issues eperienced by people experiencing mental illness, presenting with high level needs and a commitment to helping meet the needs of patients and families/carers
- Essential : Computer literacy, including knowledge of the Microsoft suite office programs and the internet
- Essential : Strong interest in mental health and well-being and desire for a career in the mental health sector
- Essential : Ability to work as a team member and contribute to team decisions, as well as the willingness to take advice and direction
- Essential : A high level of administrative, logistic, schedule management, organisational, clinical documentation and time management skills
- Desirable : Well developed interpersonal skills, including capacity to engae with and hold sensitive discussions with patients, family/carers and health professionals
