**House Leader/Team Leader**
Milestone Support Services is seeking dedicated and experienced Senior Support Workers to join our team. We have female and male clients who require assistance in personal care and community access. Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses are highly desirable for these roles.
You will be working across various locations, including Parramatta, Rhodes, Carlingford, Yagoona, Blackett and Penrith. Please note, while you won’t be required to travel to all areas, you must be able to travel to one or more of these regions, as this is where our clients are based.
**Your Role and Responsibilities**:
As a Senior Support Worker, your responsibilities may include:
- **Companionship**: Providing emotional support and meaningful connections.
- **Skills Training**: Assisting clients in developing independence, such as teaching public transport use.
- **Social Activities**: Organising and accompanying clients to activities like movies, fishing, and shopping.
- **Meal Preparation**: Helping clients cook nutritious meals.
- **Appointments**: Assisting clients in attending medical appointments, such as doctors’ visits.
- **Light Exercise**: Supporting clients with activities like walking.
- **Local Transport**: Helping clients get around safely.
- **Household Tasks**: Supporting clients with cleaning and gardening.
**Preferred Experience**:
We are particularly interested in Support Workers who have experience working with:
- ADHD
- Anxiety Disorder
- PTSD
- Depression
- Schizophrenia
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Chronic Pain
- Developmental Delays
**Requirements for the Role**:
All applicants must have (or be willing to obtain) the following:
- The right to work in Australia (100 points of identification required).
- An Australian Business Number (ABN) and bank account, as this role is for an independent contractor.
- A Police Check issued within the last three years **or** an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Training (available for free on the NDIS Commission website).
- An Australian driver's license and access to a registered and insured vehicle.
For additional work opportunities, applicants are encouraged to obtain:
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid work to be eligible to work with clients under 18 years of age.
