Job Description Summary

The Field Manager will contribute to the project through managing the VIC Network Maintenance field workforce across multiple work types and clients, reporting into the Victorian Manager.
About the Role

Service Stream is looking for a Field Manager that is willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside of normal working hours on a regular basis. Your primary responsibility will be planning, executing and closing activities necessary to successfully Build, Maintain and Decommission Optus Network, Uecomm Networks and Power Utility safely.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is always maintained for all stakeholders
- Lead, coach and mentor employees to deliver in accordance with the Optus, Power Utility and other client project plan.
- Support the Project Manager in finding solutions for complex problems and in implementing effective solutions through groups and teams.
- Act as the “point of contact” between the workforce and the Project Manager to ensure mínimal disruption to both operations and construction activities
- Development, monitoring and control of achievable project schedule
- Identification, formulation, and control of project costs budget ensuring project is appropriately funded and completed within the approved budget
- Determine and implement quality requirements and improvement initiatives in accordance with the Project Plan.
- Determine required resources to manage project tasks including selection and appointment of resources and development of cohesive project teams
- Play the key role to recruit in line with project plan/forecast to ensure project scope, client SLA’s and KPI’s are being met.
- Identification, analysis and mitigation of potential risk events including establishment of risk register and initiation of corrective action when required
- Management of procurement process for project including effective acquisition of goods and services for Field delivery management
- Responsible for ensuring that everyone that undertakes work for a project has the correct training and has valid licences.
- Supporting the works management system to ensure all maintenance activities are completed.

**Requirements**:

- Hold a current driver’s license
- Extensive experience in an Infrastructure Services environment
- Demonstrated experience in civil, telecommunications and hands on problem solving
- Extensive experience in the telecommunications industry
- Understanding of contract administration
- Strong leadership skills
- Time management, planning and organising
