Floor Finisher

**Job Summary**

We seek an experienced and reliable Commercial Floor Finisher to join our high-end fit-out team. This all-rounder role requires strong skills and attention to detail. If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working on premium commercial projects, we want to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Calculating floor space measurements and reviewing blueprints to assess the quantity of materials needed for each project
- Preparing and levelling surfaces, removing old coverings, and handling baseboard trims before installation
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting underlay materials for all types of flooring installations
- Installing a variety of floor coverings, including carpets, parquetry, cork tiles, and other resilient materials, ensuring patterns match and edges are neatly finished around fixtures
- Securing floor coverings in place and adding trims and edgings in areas such as doorways to ensure smooth transitions
- Installing coverings on walls, ceilings, and benches where required, in addition to floor areas
- Promoting a safe work environment by following WHS regulations, attending safety training, and identifying potential hazards

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in both carpet and parquetry installation
- Certificate III in Flooring Technology or higher qualifications
- Expertise in carpet fitting, commercial vinyl, timber, and parquetry pattern installation
- Knowledge of flooring materials, techniques, and tools used in carpet and parquetry work
- Ability to work independently and follow project plans with precision
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Maintain current driver’s licence
- At least 4 years of Flooring Technology experience may substitute qualifications

**Schedule**: Fixed shift, 8 hours per day

**You must be willing to**:

- Complete on-site and safety inductions
- Work across both north and south of the river
- Be available for weekend and after-hours work
- Collaborate with other trades during shop fit-outs
