We’re currently seeking experienced Head Waiters to join our passionate front-of-house team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment and love delivering exceptional service, this is your opportunity to shine.

Essential a'Mare Requirements:

- Australian working rights
- Current NSW RSA certificate
- Knowledge of wine and food pairing; with focus on Italian, French, and Australian wines
- Fluent English language proficiency
- 1-3 years of employment experience in premium dining setting and/or
- Formal hospitality qualifications
- Positive attitude towards customer service and teamwork
- Well presented
- Works well under pressure

Preferred Requirements:

- Formal hospitality studies completed
- Italian food & wine knowledge
- Formal wine studies completed
- Food & wine pairing experience
- Experience with SevenRooms or other online reservations platforms
- Speak Italian? Bonus

Your tasks & responsibilities:

- Managing your section during service and ensuring a positive guest experience
- Readying the restaurant for service, ensuring your section is fully stocked and cleaned, ready to receive our customers.
- Use Micros POS for order management
- Providing menu recommendations and explaining our food philosophy to our guests
- Food & beverage matching recommendations
- Taking customer orders accurately
- Checking if your guests have any dietary requirements
- Open communication with both FOH & BOH to streamline service
- Checking on customer tables to see if any issues with their food / service.
- Checking bill accuracy and bill presentation to customers
- Process cash & card payments
