As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind the store's success. You will lead and inspire your team to consistently deliver outstanding fresh food offerings and exceptional customer service. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assume full responsibility for the successful day-to-day operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure every customer receives an exceptional and memorable shopping experience.
- Manage financial performance, including GP, sales, budgets, and wages.
- Implement and maintain high standards of merchandising to create an appealing and customer-friendly store layout.
- Ensure strict compliance with all food safety standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Drive sales and profitability through effective inventory management, promotional activities, and understanding local market trends.
- Maintain a strong understanding of both front-of-house (customer service, merchandising) and back-of-house (inventory, administration) operations.
- Effectively communicate with team members, customers, and the broader Good Grocer Group.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager is essential. Supermarket leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing Gross Profit (GP), sales targets, budgets, and wage control.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating a positive shopping environment.
- Strong merchandising skills with the ability to create visually appealing displays.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards and the ability to ensure compliance.
- Experience and knowledge of fresh food categories are essential, with gourmet product knowledge being a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in relevant IT systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with retail management software (e.g., Smart Retail, ABCIS).
