Pilot Plant Operator

**The Role**
An opportunity exists for a Pilot Plant Operator to join Sanitarium’s Development and Innovation Group. Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Supporting the Research and Development team in food sample preparation by operating, maintaining, calibrating and cleaning pilot plant equipment using safe work and approved procedures.
- On completion of required training carry out assigned experimental tasks following agreed process with accuracy and using safe work procedures, GMP and basic HACCP principles.
- Assembling and batching of raw materials, testing products and general housekeeping.
- Materials storage - assist with ordering and replenishing materials and stock rotation.
- Assist with Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) and developing safe work procedures (SWP’s)
- Training of operators when required.
- Occasional working out of standard hours to support project needs - primarily factory trialling
- General - assist with waste disposal, factory trials and general housekeeping in pilot plant and environs.
- This role is based at Cooranbong and the nature of the role does not support regular remote or working from home arrangements.
**Skills & Experience**
- Preferred - experience in food manufacturing or NPD/R&D environment.
- Experience & knowledge of WHS in the workplace
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures for pilot plant environments.
- You must be a great team player to form constructive professional relationships with your immediate and extended team.
- Current Forklift License or willingness to get one
- Current Australian Driver’s license.
