**About the role**:
Our client is undertaking a complex multi-stage procurement to source an improved integration capability. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and part of the Integration Platform Project Team, the Advisor, ICT Projects Procurement will be primarily responsible for supporting the approach to market activities including providing specialist procurement and contract management advice to ensure that the procurement is compliant with Commonwealth and our client’s policies and procedures. The Advisor, ICT Projects Procurement will be responsible for developing various procurement and contracting artefacts in consultation with corporate procurement advisors as required. The Advisor, ICT Projects Procurement will also review ITS procurement and contracting processes and lead the development of improved and consistent processes and templates that comply with established Commonwealth and our client’s policies and procedures, including the development of standard ICT requirements for use in our client’s procurement documentation and contracts. The Advisor, ICT Projects Procurement, will be responsible for: leading identified procurement and contracting activities associated with the integration capability project, including but not limited to evaluation, recommendation and pending delegate decision, the activities to support the future stages of this procurement; reviewing ITS procurement and contract management procurement and contract management processes and templates and recommending/developing improvements; and providing procurement and contract management assistance, support, guidance and advice to ITS as required.
**Highly desirable criteria**:
- Significant experience in Commonwealth Government procurement, including tender evaluation and contract development.
- A demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the principles of Government procurement policies and procedures (particularly the Commonwealth Procurement Rules), including contracts administration and project management.
- Experience and working knowledge of the Digital Transformation Agency’s ‘Buy ICT’ panels.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and provide advice on procurement, purchasing and contract management policies and procedures.
- Experience in the development of ICT procurement, contract and associated documentation, including approaches to market of varying size and complexity.
- Experience working in a project context, across multiple business lines with the ability to work independently, act decisively, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
**Desirable criteria**:
Certificate IV in Government (Procurement & Contracting) or higher.
