**Role Description/Criteria**
**Key responsibilities of this role include**:
- Provide timely and efficient technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Maintain and update the College's technology infrastructure, including computers, printers and other equipment
- Assist with the installation, configuration and testing of new hardware and software
- Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems, including implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the broader IT team to identify and implement improvements to the College's technology systems
- Provide training and support to staff and students on the use of IT resources
**What we're looking for**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- Hands-on experience in an IT support or technician role, preferably in an educational or similar environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide effective support to users with varying levels of technical expertise
- Familiarity with common hardware, software, and networking technologies used in an educational setting
- Understanding of IT security best practices and the ability to implement appropriate measures
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Applicants must hold (or be able to obtain) a current Employee Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
