Our client is a seeking an experienced Azure Synapse Consultant to join a global IT Consulting services organisation recognized for their extensive portfolio of services & commitment to sustainability.

**The role**:
In this role, you will utilize your deep knowledge of the Azure Synapse platform to design and implement solutions that deliver business value. You will also be responsible for ensuring that solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable over time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Hands-on data engineering
- Databricks Pipeline and Azure Data Factory pipeline and coding to automate ETL/ELT processes
- Code conversion and data migration from Teradata, Cloudera Big Data to Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse (Tables, Stored procedures, Views, Macros and other Database objects
- Data migration at-scale to Azure Databricks/Azure Synapse using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Box

**Key requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, big data analytics, and data lake concepts
- Well versed with DWH concepts with strong SQL expertise.
- Extensive experience in MPP databases like Azure Synapse or Teradata (mandatory)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
