**Your role as a Tour Guide and Gold Pourer will involve**:

- Conduct tours for visitors, school groups, media, inbound tour groups, corporate clients and VIPs ranging from politicians to film and television personalities
- Perform gold pouring demonstrations in the Melting House for audiences of up to 75 people at a time, involving heavy lifting and pouring molten metal to create a 200oz gold bar
- Memorise tour script up to 30 minutes in length and deliver spiel in an entertaining and theatrical manner
- Understand and inform visitors of safety and emergency evacuation procedures
- Create medallion designs using specialised computer software
- Engrave and sell personalised medallions, including solid gold, to visitors and corporate clients, including bulk orders
- Engage with culturally and linguistically diverse client base in a friendly and professional manner and answer questions based on an in-depth knowledge of the gold industry and The Perth Mint’s history and current operations
- Promote the Mint at tourism and other external events, such as WA Week
- Must be flexible with availability to work weekdays and weekends
- Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work

**Experience**
- Speaking a second language (Cantonese, Japanese, Mandarin) is desirable
- Customer service experience
- Enjoys public speaking
- Theatrical experience (preferred)
