Medical Receptionist

Ferngate Medical Centre is a small practice which has been operating since 2009. We are a mixed billing Medical Centre located in Ferntree Gully, and are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. Joining our team of Doctors, Practice Nurse and Administration staff, we offer a friendly work environment, supported with ongoing training and possible opportunities for career development. - Monday - 11am to Close - Thursday - 1pm to Close - Friday - 8am to 1pm - Saturday (Every 2nd / 2 in 4) - 8:15am to 12pm - Weekday close time is 6pm or slightly later - Including flexibility for leave coverage Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - answering incoming calls - greeting patients - booking appointments via phone and in person - taking payments/processing Medicare claims - scanning - faxing - managing referrals - liaising with Doctors/Specialists - cleaning & restocking offices - general administration Do you have the qualities that we are looking for? - Previous Medical Reception / Reception experience preferable - Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with a high attention to detail - High level of confidentiality - Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills - Microsoft office and administration skills - Team player with a "can do" attitude - Previous experience using a booking software program (eg: Best Practice) Start as soon as possible.
